Finding the Help You Deserve
So much of our suffering begins before we had words for it. Many of us learned early that our feelings were too much and our needs an inconvenience, so we adapted — becoming the sensitive one who reads every room, the capable one everyone leans on, the one who quietly disappears inside their own life. From outside it looks like strength. Inside, it often feels like a loneliness no amount of love can reach. If you collapse into feeling worthless, lost in self-criticism, withdrawing the moment things feel uncertain — you may be in an emotional flashback, reliving an old abandonment that has little to do with the present. Toxic shame keeps us from reaching for comfort when we need it most. So we repeat the same cycles: closeness that turns to conflict, distance that feels safer than connection. Trauma seeks resolution through our relationships — but most of us were never taught to stay connected long enough to heal. What was wounded in relationship can only be repaired in relationship, not in isolation. What heals is being met, seen, and received as you are. In my practice I combine talk therapy with body-focused trauma processing, because relational wounds live not only in our thoughts but in the nervous system, surfacing whenever our safety feels threatened. Together we unwind old patterns and build the capacity to stay connected when your impulse is to shut down. I do this work as someone who has lived it — a sensitive empath who grew up in an emotionally unhealthy environment and emigrated alone to a new culture at twenty, coming to understand complex trauma from the inside. I work with adults navigating relational wounds, transitions, and the long journey home to themselves. If you want to turn toward your feelings and do the courageous work of healing, a life that inspires you is possible — and I'd be honoured to walk that path with you.
