Finding the Help You Deserve

Being a person of colour who grew up in Canada it took me years to understand why I felt like I didn't fit in. It was so obvious yet so unclear - the system isn't designed for someone like me - a woman of colour, and being a Muslim woman of colour. This is the awareness that I bring into my work with clients - that we live in a Eurocentric world, with colonial values that don't resonate with us so they shouldn't define who we are. I want to get to know you the way that you know yourself (which we may discover together in our work), I want to know about your relationships (the important ones, the messy ones, the amazing ones), and I want know about you culturally, ethnically, religiously/spiritually - all of the intersecting layers of what makes you YOU from your perspective. By putting you at the centre of our work together and exploring your goals, values, and wants we move towards your sense of belonging in the world. We deal with the things that feel overwhelming and make you feel like you have to work hard to belong
