Welcome to my profile! If you're on this site, you're likely somewhere on the scale of recognizing something is a bit off to recognizing something feels completely wrong or off the rails. I hear you! I've been there personally and have seen many people there professionally. We're all human, and I want you to know you're not alone in this or on the journey toward your next chapter in life. I specialize in helping folks manage anxiety and stress, burnout, navigating life transitions (especially perinatal/postpartum, new parents, and post-secondary students), self-esteem, grief, and depression. I thrive on helping folks rediscover themselves and build new skills on the strengths they already have but might have been overlooking until now. My approach to therapy as a whole is eclectic, integrating different modalities to suit each unique client's presenting concerns, strengths, and preferences. The modalities I use include IFS-informed, Brainspotting, CBT (when appropriate), narrative and mindfulness therapies, as well as some ACT and DBT. My goal for each therapy session is for my clients to feel heard and understood while working toward their therapeutic goals, otherwise what's the point of therapy?! Having been a therapy client myself for years, I know how vulnerable and uncomfortable it can be at times, as well as how rewarding and empowering it can be with each new skill or next step taken in life. Professionally, I've seen the benefit that comes from integrating authenticity and a client-centred focus into sessions, and that is what I strive to offer each individual I see.
