Finding the Help You Deserve
As a queer and transgender person of colour who has navigated their own mental health challenges, I know how vulnerable therapy can be. You don’t want to spend your session time educating your therapist or code-switching. You want to feel seen and understood — as a whole human being. This is why my approach is tailored to each individual. Together, we can get curious about what things you may take for granted: the things you enjoy, the things that scare you, the things that make you feel shame, and the relationships that bring about a combination of complicated feelings. To put labels to my work -- though I am not a big fan of labels -- I am person-centred and combine acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and parts work. I want to create a space in which you feel safe enough and brave enough to gain insight, recognize patterns, and take action to live a life that aligns with your values.
